RMNs win Project of the Year Award from VMN

“It’s great to see how many chapter members participated and the wonderful relationship you’ve built with local organizations to help get these kids outdoors!”   – Michelle Prysby, Program Director, Virginia Master Naturalists

In the Fall of 2017, the Rivanna Master Naturalists, in concert with the Ivy Creek Foundation and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Virginia, collaborated on a project to teach the Voices from the Land curriculum to children after school two days a week in local clubs after school.

In August, the state chapter of the Virginia Master Naturalists awarded the Rivanna MN chapter the Project of the Year Award for our Voices of the Land program. Congratulations to all who were involved in the project and all Rivanna Master Naturalists.  We are running the program again this fall and next spring.
